LGE Electrical Services is pleased to announce the addition of drone technology to our service capabilities, enhancing the way we deliver safe, efficient, and cost-effective electrical inspections and site assessments across the Geelong region and beyond.
Our drone operations are conducted in compliance with Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) excluded category requirements, with registered aircraft and CASA-accredited operators.
How We’re Using Drone Technology
Light Tower & Elevated Asset Inspections
Safe, detailed aerial inspection of sports lighting towers, flood lighting structures, and elevated electrical assets identifying structural damage, luminaire faults, cable entry points, and corrosion without the need for elevated work platforms or scaffolding at the preliminary assessment stage.
Pre-Construction Site Surveys
Aerial photography and video of job sites prior to commencement, providing accurate visual documentation of existing conditions, access constraints, and site layouts to support project planning and scope definition.
Progress & Completion Photography
Aerial imagery captured during and upon completion of projects, providing clients with professional visual records of installed works, particularly valuable for large open sites, carparks, and sporting facilities.
Electrical Infrastructure Surveys
Aerial assessment of rooftop plant, and external building services infrastructure to support maintenance planning and condition reporting.
Defect Documentation
Visual evidence capture supporting electrical compliance and defect reporting enabling precise identification and photographic documentation of faults, damage, or non-compliant installations at height or in difficult-to-access locations.
Storm & Incident Damage Assessment
Rapid aerial assessment following storm events or incidents, allowing LGE to quickly evaluate damage to external electrical infrastructure and prioritise remediation works safely before personnel are deployed at height.
